I've got a children's book half finished, but my aim for this week is to get started on a Mills & Boon I've had some ideas about- they take unsolicited ms, so I figure it's worth a shot and might keep me in wool for a little while if it gets published.
I've done Nano before and finished my (totally ridiculous) novel- put simply, I sat down at the start of the month and thought 'what do I want to write about? I know- space pirates!' and went from there.
It's a lot of fun, and certainly helps with writers' block- plus I love the dares they post up on the Nano forums- "include a planet that can be moved with a lever", "have someone say 'how can you miss a planet?' and not be talking about homesickness".
