Thursday night Paul and I went out with Jacqui and Paul for coffee - or rather, in everyone's case but my sister's, hot chocolate. She had coke.
Prior to, we had a look in Browsers, a nice second-hand bookstore I have been known to frequent for long hours. Didn't find anything really interesting. There was a copy of Arrow's Fall that I was seriously considering, but I didn't end up getting it. Yes, it's a good book, but I'm being fussy about the cover that I want.
I watched Legally Blond II which had been downloaded and burned. It was silly. I didn't think it was as good as the first one, but it was an amusing watch, especially with the comments Mum put in about it. She was knitting the wool that I got from Gail and Rex for my birthday into a soft fluffy scarf. Evidently, I don't have to learn to knit again after all. Paul and I talked to Mum and Dad for a while, then we spa'd and talked until (again) it was too cold to stay in any longer. Not that it was as warm as the previous night to start off with, anyway.
Friday I was up half-nineish, in order to attempt to get into town about 10.30am. We eventually made it into town about 11.30am, which was what I had estimated, so that was all good. Ate at a place called BurgerFuel, and they had very good burgers and chips. Equivalent to, if not better than, Burger Wisconsin. We wandered around, and eventually came home via yet more bookstores. I refrained from spending any of the vouchers that I was given for my birthday. I don't know what I will spend them on.
We got home, Paul went and finished his Civ II game, and I sat and talked to Mum for a while. Then we went to the Red Cross Bookfair with Jacqui and Paul (Paul has his full license, which is most convenient), and after due time and dinner and suchlike, we got to the Hamilton airport (plane was running about 20 mins late) and flew back to Wellington. Paul picked up yet another Fighting Fantasy book, and I got this not terribly bad crappy romance.
Plane flight was okay, though I must say that I am starting to get less fond of flying than I was. It's still boring, and if it's not, I'm usually getting queasy because it's bouncy. And my ears hurt, which was annoying (and painful).
Caught a shuttle home and went to bed, essentially. Didn't really start feeling better until yesterday afternoon.
Now, for those of you who are interested here is a ( list of presents. )
