The first of the first of twenty oh five
Jan. 1st, 2005 04:44 amWell, it's early morning on January 1, 2005, and I'm still wide awake. The sun's going to come up shortly. I find this amusing for some reason - quite possibly because I start work in about five hours and haven't got to bed yet. I decided around one or two or three that since I was still wide awake, I wouldn't bother going to bed, because I don't deal well on only a few hours sleep. I deal much better on no sleep and plenty of caffeine.
I've had a good day. I got to sleep in for the first time since before Christmas (having to be up before ten does not constitute a sleep in), I lazed around the house, I didn't go for a walk, and when I got to work, we were kinda busy and I nearly made a second bonus. I didn't get to keep all of the one I made, but it's better than at Wakefield, where I once almost got to $300.
I passed dryadwoman and M. on my way to the supermarket, and I had a really good evening at maudlinrose's and jessikast's with laputain, C. and mauldinrose's dad and brother there. A lot of music and politics were discussed. I could follow most of the politics and some of the music. We saw in the New Year there. Around one, since laputain and I were the only ones wide awake, we decided to walk into town and see what was happening there.
Unfortunately, since I was wearing my suicide heels, I had to take them off and got a sliver of glass in one heel. That foot is now soaking in a bowl of warm water and dettol. I hope it gets the glass out, since I don't believe that I own tweasers. Anyhow, we wandered around for a couple of hours before catching a taxi home.
Now I'm eating crumpets and drinking milk and soon I might start typing up more handwritten story parts for a fic of mine so it's up to date. Or I'll be reading something. Quite possibly Yu Gi Oh fanfiction where I'm trying to find a decent story that doesn't mean I have to know a great deal about the characters. Then at some stage I will get ready for work and leave. I will have caffeine before then.
