I currently have very little sense of taste or smell due to burning my tongue twice yesterday (damn those cups of lemon and ginger tea) and this cold that I have. I find I'm focusing a lot more on temperature and texture with food. It makes chips fairly boring to eat, although I miss the taste of crumpets and apples are still fun to eat. Doesn't much change weetbix, and I'm not sure what that says about weetbix. Am generally cold and tired and my bones ache a little. I would go and lie down, only I don't much feel like sleeping and there isn't a hardcopy book around here that I really want to read.

Good news - Schism has been updated. I'm already looking forward to the next update. I do enjoy this webcomic. The artist, along with a group of other comic writers/artists is participating in a comic book anthology about robots. I checked out the link and thus have been reading comics for most of the day. Some I'm enjoying more than others, but this one, Applegeeks is amusing.

My sister and her boyfriend ended up arriving around two am in the end, as opposed to the hour and a half she said they would be when she texted me from Levin at eleven. That was okay. I had gone to bed and read my book until they arrived. They were rather tired when they got here, so it was a brief tour of the place (which they like, what's with that?), tell them where the lunch stuff is for tomorrow and where they're going to be sleeping.

The cricket was supposed to start at ten-thirty this morning and after eleven or so, I was mostly dozing, finally getting up when I heard voices in the kitchen. They'd decided that they needed to sleep in this morning rather than go watch the cricket, so they took off later. J. has borrowed my paperback Harry Potter books to read there. How much of them she actually reads depends entirely on how much C. distracts her. I wonder how easy it will be for them to find a park, since they're driving. I did suggest a couple of places last night, but that was when they were planning to leave around eight-thirty. And I suggested the bus, but they decided against that, too.

I might see if I can find the cat and lie down for a while. I'm rather tired.
