Got Dave Dobbyn's latest CD Available Light today, from Tower Music on Manners St., and even better the special edition was the same price as the normal version ($24.95), so I got that one. I'm presuming that the bonus DVD has the music video for Welcome Home on it. I wonder if my computer will play it. I should try.

Wandered into Graphics on the offchance that Fake 6 or a new issue of Astro City had arrived and was pleasantly surprised to find volume one of the Dark Ages in Astro City there, along with something I'd never heard or or ordered (it was put in my folder by accident), and thus we're finally going to find out what happened to the Silver Agent. It's proving to be quite interesting.

It seems (so far) to be exploring the idea of: If superheroes are cool and save the world and stuff like that, won't ordinary people begin to resent them for being in control? What happens if there's mass resentment?

EDIT: The DVD doesn't work on my computer. I need a DVD drive/writer.

Having been productive since my last post, I feel the need to update. Reading (relatively) good fanfiction, dinner, half a glass of port and listening to Available Light has done much to assuage my temper. However. I can't help feeling that the hour and a half I spent defrosting the freezer and organising dinner for tomorrow night have done far more.

I didn't actually defrost the freezer for you, [livejournal.com profile] anschee. I wasn't actually planning to defrost it. But I was attempting (read: attempting) to get the meat out of the freezer for dinner tomorrow, and I couldn't. So I had to start defrosting the freezer to get it out, and then, of course, I had to finish the job. It looks much better now.

I'm managed to get the strapping on my finger fairly wet when I defrosted the freezer, so I'm just going to go ahead and take it off tonight. I will possibly rewrap my hand, but considering how I am in the morning, I have a feeling that I won't actually bother.

Quiet evening, aside from a couple of phone calls.

EDIT: It being half past eleven at night on Wednesday and the strapping being wet, I decided that it ws close enough to Thursday and have taken off the strapping. My hand looks kinda funny now. Unless I have my fingers bent how they were under the strapping, there's a ridge of loose white skin that's slowly filling out on my little finger and a similar one on my ring finger. Plus a great deal of my hand is all wrinkly, in the pattern of the bandage underneath. It having been two and a half weeks since I did it, the bruising has all gone and patches of dead skin rub off quite easily. My little finger is a bit stiff, but the stiffness is at the knuckle which was bent, the one above the bit that broke. Slight residual soreness there, but other than that, all good. Of course, I can't make a full fist or wriggle all my fingers comfortably yet. I'm practicing. Typing seems to be okay...

...I'm going to put some moisturiser on.
