Very fun Shut-Down day party at house_monkey's on Saturday night. Lots of poetry reading and some theatresports - very entertaining. I read the Five Gods Universe creation myth from Paladin of Souls by Lois McMaster Bujold.

My copy of The Sharing Knife: Passage arrived on Friday (for those Wellingtonians around, Unity Books still has copies, if you're after it hardcover), and I have read it through once in bits and pieces. Now I want to read it through slowly.

It was cold, so I've been burning the remains of the couch that have been occupying the patio for a while now. Made the lounge toasty warm for us while we ate dinner and watched Top Gear. I found it rather entertaining that of a bike, car, boat and train race crossing London, the bike won and the car came last.

Did some handwork and am nearly halfway through Autumn. I should order the Needlepaint threads for Winter soon - or buy the Spring/Summer pattern. It's growing quite rapidly.

Saw St. Trinian's yesterday afternoon. It was awesome and I really enjoyed it. Must go hunt for fic now.
