Yes, I'm posting more. Don't really know why. Could be something to do with procrastination, or maybe I've found a medium between private thoughts and borning minutae that I can post about. *shrugs* Doesn't really matter, does it?
I am very tired. Was running late this morning, so I didn't have time for a shower, and as a result I feel unclean and more tired than I otherwise would. On the other hand, I have finished all the Greek homework - about fifty lines worth. We have Diana for the last time on Friday, so hopefully I will have time to do some baking for the class. Also, I need to get the recipes that I've made (and taken to class) to her before the end of the holidays for Ta Opson (is there a way that I can write that in symbol - aka Greek lettering?), which is the recipe book that our class is making to sponsor Greek class T-shirts. Or something.
Ta opson technically means non-basic food stuffs, just as ta siton means basic food stuffs. It's a running joke with the class. Non-basic food stuffs in Hellenistic Greece were things like meat and fish and wine. Basic food stuffs were bread and grain and that sort of thing. For GREE216 (that's us this term) ta opson generally means chocolate or baking. Last semester when we were still being given weekly tests with English to Greek and Greek to English sentences, there were a lot about Lisel, Scott and ta opson. Add that to the fact that Diana (and other members of the class) keep bringing baking to class, and you get the recipe book. It's much fun and very delicious. Diana brought her famous chocolate caramal brownies yesterday - made them in the staff kitchen. They smelled delicious. I believe she is bringing lemon squares on Friday. Maryanne has brought something today, I think.
I'm babbling. This is a sign of tiredness. Still, only half an hour before I go to Greek then go home and start writing a (more than likely) crappy Epic essay. Then I get to start the Myth essay. And then the Greek one. *sighs* I would like to do a good job on the Epic one. I've been enjoying the course. Perhaps if I work from the notes and blackboard discussions more closely, rather than books and journal articles and just put up with having less sources I could do an okay essay.
I'll stop with the random associated stuff now and go see if I can find any fic and stuff.
