Relatively busy weekend. Was still bored on Saturday morning, despite being completely and utterly distracted for two hours by this fic to the point of sitting, freezing, and yet not getting socks or a jersey because I was that involved in it. Went into town after that, exchanged the bluetooth thing, and met [livejournal.com profile] lyraethe at Te Papa.

The exchanging was a bit of a saga, actually. Went into Dick Smith's with [livejournal.com profile] maudlinrose on Friday, and spent half an hour or so having them work out why it wouldn't work with my phone. So, on Saturday, after having found my receipt on the floor beside my desk, behind the cabinet, I went in, they remembered me, and it took bloody forever. First they had to give me a refund and have me buy the new one (which required finding someone with the password twice). Then, when I wanted to keep my receipt, they weren't able to print one out there, it being from a different store and all, had to call Hamilton and get them to fax one through. Finally, they photocopied the reprint of the receipt for me (and had to get the photocopier more paper), since the fax paper didn't keep imprints too well. It's called a Bluetooth USB Dongle - Class 1. And all I could think of when I first saw it was that it was called a dongle, and really, I can be so juvenile at times.

At Te Papa, I went to a workshop on Classical Indian Music with [livejournal.com profile] lyraethe, of which the first part was interesting, when they were teaching you about the different forms, but at one stage they put a video on of how it worked in cycles, and there was only this music and a circle being emphasised, and they lost me then. Performances were after the break, and they were kinda cool, except for the last one, when the harmonium (piano-accordian type thing) sounded like the piano, and I think I dozed off.

Borrowed manga, had dinner, watched Calender Girls in that order with [livejournal.com profile] lyraethe and have now read almost everything I borrowed, and I'm trying to convince myself that I don't actually need to collect any of these. The jury is still out as to whether it's working, which probably means that it isn't. Only have Golden Transcendence to go of my pile that Alessan loaned C. and myself, which is okay.

Having worked yesterday (it sucked) and today (sucked slightly less), and spent the rest of the time either reading or watching tv, I have spent some time this evening enabling my new bluetooth connection, which actually works, and is so cool, so I have transferred the photos over, and I rather think that I am going to spend a while in photoshop cleaning up some of them. It makes me happy, and they are pretty. And now I need to go and make dinner, so that I will be all ready by the time to go to roleplaying. And I am even remembered Ivan the Terrible's CDs, so all is good.
