It's Saturday, and I'm at the uni library - voluntarily - in order to do research on some of my classics essays. There's something wrong with this scenario. It's a gorgeous day outside, lovely sunshine and a slight breeze that just keeps it from being too warm, and I'm in trousers, a thin top and no jacket (what a lovely change) and I have to use at least some of the day looking for books in the library.

At least I've decided what essay questions I want to answer.

Unfortunately for me, I've got four essays due in the last week of term, three of them about 1500 - 2000 words (25% I think) and the other 3000 words and worth 45%. I want to do really well in the latter one, which means that I'm going to have to spend a lot of time at the National Library next week doing primary source research. It will fun. I like primary source research.

I have decided what I'm going to research, too. Talked to Andrew Francis, my lecturer about what I should do - mentioned the memorial project kindling my love of primary source research again - and said I didn't really care what I did my essay on, so long as I got to do some primary source research. He eventually suggested either the treatment of conscientious objectors in NZ during WWI, or the treatment of foreign nationals in NZ during WWI. Eventually I settled on foreign nationals, changing my mind several times in the process. I haven't got an email back about the essay question, so I'm just going ahead with it.

But yes. The next few weeks should be frantically busy and stressful. Because, as well as these essays, jessikast and I need to do a short presentation on something for Greek, and there is constant Greek homework. Yay.

But on the other hand (men... de), it's a gorgeous day today, I'm spending most of the weekend with Paul, and it's our four month anniversary tomorrow. Which is really cool. Kurt Busiek, the guy who writes Astro City is putting out another series called Arrowsmith, which I now have issue 2 (or 3) of, and is set, from what I can gather, in an alternate sort of WWI, with magic. Which is way cool, and there is an online preview found here. I am going to go and read this now. There's supposed to be a crossover with Astro City sometime in the future.

We're planning to go see Finding Nemo tonight. I will run another test of my eyes and watching movies. They were all right watching Back to the Future II with Paul and Grant last night, so hopefully they'll be okay, especially since I'm not tired for once, and am feeling well. But then, I could sleep in as long as I wanted to for a change.
