I have been very clever, and caught C.'s cold. Fortunately, I had Thursday and Saturday off work this week, so I only had to take one day off work. It does mean that I've already used three of my five sick days for this year, but as I am planning to be working somewhere else by the end of the year (and have indeed actually applied for things today!), hopefully it won't matter. My wrist feels fine now, although I doubt I'll go back to using the mouse with my right hand - I've adjusted to mostly using it with my left now.
I've been thinking about Lace & Steel a bit this week. I haven't had Isthian screaming in my head, as I expected her to do, but it's more worry about what she should do, and how can I work it so that she will get out, if not heart-whole, then at least survive. I'm fairly sure she'll survive, but I'm also fairly sure that the character she'll be at the end of the game, whenever that is, will not be the same character as she was at the beginning of the game. To a certain extent, I can already see those changes, since she deals with more or less equamity things she wouldn't even think of at the beginning of the game. I have a list of options, but I don't know how well any, if all, will work.

maudlinrose's mother here this weekend.
Is there anyone on livejournal who has a drill with a 4mm thing that I could borrow? I need to adjust three shelves on one of my bookcases.

Date: 2006-03-22 09:02 am (UTC)I have a mains powered drill you can use if you like, and one of my "drill bits" must be 4 mm. However you probably dont want to drill a 4mm hole with a power drill. If it's soft enough wood, and I suspect it is, if it's customboard or similar, you can use a pin vice (A baby drill you twist by hand) and it'll be just as sweet.
If you want either or both to experiment with you're welcome to them. If you still have my cell number the n txt me if not Mash has it. I can even deliver it if there's a safe place to leave it during the day.
