This morning
maudlinrose and
tamarillow and I are going to look at kittens. One of maudlinrose's workmates has a stray cat in her backyard that has had kittens. They are very cute in the pictures, but the idea of a non-housetrained kitten is not the most appealing. And I'm not sure how Jemima is going to react, either. I think my room is going to have to be a kitten free zone for a while.
Saw the doctor on Thursday before going to Twelfth Night. He looked at my hand, made me flex it a bit, do a fist and at one point pressed down very firmly on the centre of my wrist which made the tingling really bad. As a result, I now have pills to take at lunch and dinner and cream to rub into my wrist at lunch, dinner and before bed (ooops, I forgot that last one last night) and a set of exercises.
Does anyone have a well-used squash ball I could have for these? I asked on the intranet at work, but I'm not sure people actually read it on a regular basis. I probably read it once a month or so or when I'm insanely bored and want to pretend I'm still doing work-related stuff. I should possibly get that micropause software for my computer as well.
Twelfth Night was AWESOME. The person who came up with the idea of using unmarked corrogated cardboard as sand was incredibly clever. There was this raised bit in the middle with a ramp down and bits to the side, and the beginning of the play, as one person slowly walked down the ramp, with the sound of waves in the background, leaving footprints behind him was incredible. Well worth seeing. It's really good having a flatmate who works at a place which means we know about these sorts of things.
I have lots of study to do over the weekend, what with having a terms test on Monday and all, but plan to experiment with making crackling and probably with making beetroot relish in my breaks. Alessan is around to play on
tamarillow's computer and probably fix excel on mine.
Have to stop typing now. For one thing the tingling is back - just after typing this post and nothing else and for another I need to hang out my washing. It is a gorgeous day and the sun is streaming through my window, highlighting the condensation covering them.
