Bloody housekeeping
Feb. 7th, 2005 11:35 pmRoleplaying was in Northland this week, since Superbowl was on and A. and B. were going to watch it with N. I went around and joined them when I got back after doing the lunches. Temperatures are slightly better today. I'm still refusing to wear my hair down (meaning that it's still damp at this time of night) and I'm only sleeping under a sheet, rather than my duvet as well. I tried adding a thin blanket last night. I woke up with it next to me.
Same as last month, a week after the sugar pills finished, I've started bleeding. This is quite annoying and as this is the second time this has happened, I'm going to call my gynecologist tomorrow (or email her tonight if I can find her email addy) and ask questions, because this shouldn't be happening.
I also have plans to clean tomorrow - finish tidying my room, attack the lounge and clean and tidy that, including putting away all the books I have yet to cover - and do the bathrooms. My family are likely to be here on Wednesday and I want the place to look nice, inside at least.
It probably seems strange, a twenty-two year old rushing around making sure that the place looks nice before her family arrives. I suppose I'm just well-trained by my mother. After all, that's what she used to do whenever a group of people was coming around. And even though it's just a crappy student flat, it's still my home and I want it to look it's best for people. It's not like I can do much for the outside - I've never been much of a gardener and I can't do anything about the colours on the wall or the crappy carpet, but I can make sure that it's clean and tidy and looks more or less welcoming.
Does that make sense to anyone?
I'm not looking forward to the kitchen, though. Which reminds me - I have to see if the rubbish has been put out yet.
