Have been variously confused today by the overseas references to Father's Day being today when I was sure that it was the first Sunday in September. Then I checked my calender and realised that, yes, New Zealand and Australia have a different Father's Day from other parts of the world. I am slightly bemused as to how this could be, but no longer confused.
Wandered about town with C. for a little while after church, before we both got distracted into Bizzy Bees and various books. I don't believe that they have any copies of Hallowed Hunt left! Impressive, considering it's $50 a book and it hasn't been two weeks since they came in. I note that Unity has a copy and that's $46.95, just about what I paid in book vouchers and sold books. I feel well satisfied with my treatment there and with the price. I have commented that I was expecting to pay $10 more and would have paid $15 more, and considered it worth it.
I currently have a surfiet of bookcases in my room, which feels most luxurious. I don't expect it to last past the next time I move, however. And then I'll have to invest in some plastic stacking things for all my desk stuff. I finally got around to calling ex-flatmate Rach about the bookcase of mine that she took with her (she didn't know it was mine and I'm not surprised), and it's now in my room. The kettle, however, has gone.
I know I told Zlata, at work, that I would work six days this week, but I suddenly really don't want to. I want my Saturday and Sunday. See, Saturday day there's a church craft thing on in J'ville, and I haven't managed to get to one since it started, and I'd really like to. Saturday evening there's the Phoenix Society meeting that Alessan invited C. and myself to, and Sunday there's church.
( And while I'm talking about church )
I think I'll go and rearrange my bookcases now.
EDIT: Ha! They both fit along one wall! One corner of my room is now bookcases. I have four there. Not that they all have books on, of course, I won't need them for that until I move house...
