Reasonably busy week, two days off in a row (actual weekend, yay!) but busy. Have been home Saturday morning, late Saturday night, early Sunday morning and, ah, now. Good times, really. Crossstitch, port, church, lunch, roleplaying.

At some stage, now the campagin is finished, I shall take all my Winter Wolf entries off custom friends only ( all except [livejournal.com profile] bl9_knt) and write up the last two sessions. Then I shall read more C. S. Lewis. C. and I were loaned two different biographies of him by the people we had lunch with today, so that was nice.

Parents are safely back from Fiji, which is good. And my feet are now freezing and the plaster on my thumb makes it hard to type, so I'm going to to bed now.

Since I'm not roleplaying tonight, I was planning on writing up various things, including the last two Winter Wolf sessions (and making the rest freely available) and more of my fantasy/theology thing. However, I'm finding that two fingers in plasters on one hand (cracked thumbnail and cut from craft knife) and two fingers strapped on the other hand (accident at work) can make typing a wee bit awkward. I don't even know if I feel like handwriting anything.

I vaguely thought that today might be a little bit quieter than the rest of the week, and at this stage, for all I know, it is. But still, 16 rooms, quite a few departures and lots of changing floors combined to slow us down. Then we were on one of our later rooms sometime after three, and I was cleaning one of the disabled bathrooms. In these, there is a fold up/fold down bench that people can sit on. I'm still not completely sure what happened, but somehow, I managed to drop the bench (5-10cm worth) on top of my last two fingers on my left hand.

I'm just glad that it's my left hand and that my GP could see me after I'd finished work for the day. He straped it for me. I'm to call him in the morning, tell him how it is and then he'll decide whether or not I need an X-ray. I don't think I've broken it, and I certainly hope not.

Kathy, our general manager was in the paper today. Apparently, we have the last hotel room available in Wellington (one of the 17th floor apartments), going for $7,200. Per night. Good advertising for us, though.

Parents back from Fiji last night. Am talking to them later tonight and seeing how their trip was.

EDIT: [livejournal.com profile] darthsappho, I have given Paladin of Souls to [livejournal.com profile] anschee to pass onto you, since she's likely to see you before I do. You're marked on my catalogue as borrowing it from tonight.
