Sep. 3rd, 2009 08:54 pmIt turns out that the AA on behalf of NZTA are not allowed to accept a certified copy of a birth certificate as proof of identity for renewing a driver's licence - it has to be the original. Or, you can present the driver's licence you are renewing as proof. I now have a piece of paper in my wallet as a temporary licence.
