(no subject)
Aug. 7th, 2004 06:46 pmI should've probably posted this sometime last week, but I forgot. For the people that I actually told about it, here's a reminder:
8 Sugust (7pm): Scripture and Sexuality
The Civil Union Bill raises again the moral questions surrounding homosexuality. This is an issue we haven't looked at recently. This Sunday night forum will look at:
1) An individual's journey of thought and responses when a family member is involved in a same sex relationship.
2) Perspectives on homosexuals gained through the work place - especially the creative arts.
3) A medical perspective.
4) Five bibilical views on same sex relationships. How do Christians understand the scriptural texts?
Taken from the Central Baptist newsletter 1/08/04. Probably will be done by about 9pm or so, as a guess. Are the people who were interested in attending when I talked to you about it still interested? Send me an email or call or something, and we can arrange a time to meet. If you can get there on your own, the church is on Boulcott St. opposite a carpark, and next to the Dominion Post building.
Since one of the pastors here agreed to speak at a pro-Christian rally on the Civil Union Bill, (and I have a copy of his speech somewhere), it should be quite interesting, and I look forward to seeing a few of you there.
