Long day today after a long day yesterday. I will say one thing for working, though. It's saved the city council, ridewell and the bike race organisers from an obnoxious letter or email from me. Well, maybe not ridewell. I still say they should have advertised the changes to the busses earlier and more clearly. I did not appreciate having to walk to work yesterday morning due to confusion over busses.
The only good thing about the bike race was that church was on in the evening rather than the morning, and it meant that I got to attend, since I was working during the day. It was actually really good - we combined with the Chinese Church which also uses our building and had a pot luck dinner. The pastor said that this was the first time in 127 years that it was not possible to have morning church there and that we would have it in the evening, because the council won't stop us meeting. And I have to say there was a real sense of community and belonging there that evening, even more than usual, despite C. and I talking to very few people.
Today I started at eight. We were all meant to start at eight bar Yogini, who's still learning, but not everyone read their timetables correctly. I was working with Caroline again, and I have to say that things go a lot better when I'm feeling well and her lunch breaks don't go overtime. We got seventeen rooms done - all we absolutely had to. We ended up with thirty-one on our list, which is just impossible. We had floors five, six and seven, as well as one room on four that took an hour because there were trundle beds and it was really messy, and there were also three rooms on three. Six allocated departures and eleven stayovers basically meant that the non-allocated departures were just left. We're still catching up from the Neil Diamond concert weekend...
Started at eight, finished at five and was asked if I would swap my day off tomorrow for having a day off on Wednesday, and yes, Z. was aware that it would mean that I was working seven days in a row. I asked if I could think about it for a while, considering doing so, and then remembered that I'd made plans to go bra-shopping with
jessikast tomorrow. Texted her to see if she was available on Wednesday, but she has work and uni, so I said no and thus get to sleep in tomorrow as I planned. Busy busy day... lots of things to do.
Roleplaying this evening was fun and I'll type both it and last weeks up later when I'm not quite so tired. Looking to go to bed soon as I can't find anything good to read.
