Again, updating nearly a week after the actual game was played.

Winter Wolf

After the nearly dying of the previous week, we did want a bit of time to relax, but things are becoming more urgent in regards to the Black Wave ritual. So urgent, that Anna even consented to Damien and a couple of other hunters healing her.

Chelsea said that they thought that the Blood of the Dragon was something to do with Vlad Dracul and his descendents. Damien and I went out trolling for Vampires to get further information. Anna took the sensible route and talked to one of her contacts.

We did find a Vampire. Shot it's kneecaps, and I locked it into position. The other two Hunters came along with us, because hey, they're nice and strong and better with guns than I am. Unfortunately, Damien didn't do very well at resisting the Vampire and the Vampire ordered Damien to keep him safe. They jumped in the car and drove off. I ordered the Hunters to hotwire a car so we could go after them, seeing as I could track them.

When we caught up, Damien was free of the Vampire's will and was shooting him. I spent some time tracking him down. He eventually went to ground in a Vampire Tavern. Damien, of course, came up with interesting ways to take it out, such as dropping an oil tanker on the site. We attempted to dissuade him and went to the ghetto to take out more Vampires.

I got rid of the last of my Paradox by taking a flaw which meant I was continually looking over the back of my head. If I never play a first person shooter game, it's too soon for me. Actually, if I never have to look directly at the back of my own head again without using a mirror, it'll be too soon.

Thanks to Anna's contacts, we set up a meeting with the Giovanni Family in Italy. They're basically Vampire Mafia and Vlad Dracul's son, Dracula resides there. His is supposed to be the Blood of the Dragon, so we're all after it. Since the Giovanni Family and Umbrella run into legal conflicts, we're down playing our alliance with them. We were picked up at the airport and delivered to our hotel, a penthouse suite in a moderately priced hotel. We went out exploring during the day, but were back by dark. A Vampire came by in the evening to see why we wanted to talk to them. We managed to convince him and then he left.

We were all about to head to bed when the radio crackled on. I tuned it and an unfamilar voice came on. I guessed it was Chaos-16, someone who Chelsea had mentioned briefly to us. We had a little chat, he gave us a brief warning. I started weaving the trees on the roof into a barrier while Hilda poked her head outside and gave us warning that something was coming.

Damien shouted out places for us to go and somewhere for us to meet up later and then the room exploded. A Primium bullet thing, with a cap of Prime, the primodial essence that makes it possible for magic to work. I chose to drop through the hole in the floor to the room below and leave via the fire escape. Everyone else left in their own way.

We returned to the hotel in the morning, with the staff anxiously relieved to see us. They explained that our bill had been paid and that the Giovanni Family were paying for us to be transferred to one of their own classier establishments, again a penthouse suite.

We're relaxing there now, having collected our shipped in weapons, and are waiting for them to contact us.

I have to say, so far, I like Chaos-16 better than Malcolm. At least with Chaos-16, you know where you're standing - at the other end of a sniper rifle.

Find the next bit here. You're still reading? I'm impressed.
