It occurs to me that I haven't actually done this yet, despite being tagged for it some time ago.
List five songs that you are currently enjoying. It doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good. But they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions in your blog along with your five songs. Then tag five other people to see what they're listening to.
The songs:
1. LA Song - Beth Hart
2. MacArthur Park - Richard Harris
3. Vedi, Maria - Emma Shapplin
4. I Won't Say I'm In Love - from the Hercules (Disney) soundtrack
5. Sway - Bic Runga

Finally gave in and bought one bunch of Early Cheer for $2 from the dairy. I do like their smell, and since they're sitting on top of my desk, by the printer, the smell is wafting through the room and down to me sitting at the desk, so it's really rather nice.
Also, have attended day one of the first aid course. It's rather interesting, and easier than I expected. I now actually understand why you are likely to break someone's ribs when doing CPR on them. And because this is part of a pilot project for St. Johns, every member of the class gets our own Mini-Anne and a DVD to take home, practice with, and then make family/friends practice with it. It's awfully Americanised, since the original pilot was American, but you do actually learn from it. Our tutor put on the DVD, got us to go through the motions as the video-lady told us to on our Mini-Anne, and then practice some more. Be warned, people, I will inflict this on you. Assuming it succeeds in NZ, the practice will be continued with a reshot video.
My trouble is that I keep hearing/thinking Midi-Anne, instead of Mini-Anne. I haven't even watched or read Gundam Wing fic for ages!
Have been reading John Evelyn's biography. It's interesting in that Evelyn was a favourite of Charles II, and spent the civil war and most of the Interregnum abroad, but not so much in the fact that he was interested in trees, garden, contemporary opinions of architecture, and what limited public or civil service was around then. Actually, the rest is kinda interesting, but the biographer quotes Evelyn far too extensively, and he uses Evelyn's spelling when he does so. Also, Evelyn - not the most fascinating of prose authors, regardless of the topic, and rather bad at poetry. I may as well finish it, though.
I also think that my copy of his diary and correspondence is the published in 1818 one, and may well actually date from then, as far as I can tell from my limited knowledge of antique books and what the biographer says. I should get it checked out one day.
My knees are cold. I'm going to get dinner.
