Apparently, what it takes to turn me into a puddle of mush or a generally blissed out state is a good dinner, delectable chocolate, extremely nice port, and a divine shoulder rub. I have been the fortunate possessor of all of these tonight. I feel quite pliable and exceedingly relaxed.

Does anyone know of a word that means something along the lines of commandeer, take over, obtain, plunder, pillage, only not any of these but sounds like colander and starts with p?

I've got procure and purloin, neither of which really seems to fit the bill.

I keep wanting to say pilander, and I'm not actually sure that's a word.

It's not. There's Philander, but I don't think it's quite what you had in mind.
