I feel somewhat productive this weekend, although it's a different sort of productive than the usual, which tends to involve cleaning inside. Instead, I managed two loads of washing and breaking some dead gorse trunks before going down to Ultimate pratice.
Ultimate practice was fun. Next time, however, I am going to remember my hat and sunscreen. I borrowed some sunscreen off
house_monkey, but it's getting to the time of year when I need to remember to wear it all the time. I'm fairly sure my face is burnt a bit, but it's red from exertion as well, so I can't really tell yet.
Afterwards, most of us went up to
atomicsusan's place for lunch and a chat. Very conveniently, they own an axe, which I have borrowed. Periodicially since I got home, I have been attacking the gorse that we put aside as being too big to deal with with hedgeclippers. It's really hard work.
My wrist, which was already sore from chopping gorse recently and from frisbee this morning is now aching somewhat more. I am going to be so stiff tomorrow. I am getting slightly better at chopping through. Going across the grain is really hard. It'll be a decent pile of firewood.
EDIT: And I still can't get Castle of the Winds working on my computer, even with changing the compatability. Stupid thing.
